Pausa Spa & Acne Clinic is looking for an exceptional Licensed Esthetician / Facialist to join our growing team.

We are specifically looking for someone who loves performing facials and takes pride in creating an incredible hands-on experience for every client. This position is ideal for an esthetician who wants to specialize in facials and is passionate about skin health, relaxation, and especially facial massage.

Who We're Looking For

Facial massage is a major part of the experience we want to provide. Our ideal candidate doesn't simply go through massage movements, they understand why they're performing them.

You should have knowledge of facial anatomy and muscles and understand how different massage techniques can support relaxation, circulation, muscle tension, and the overall client experience.

Knowledge or experience with facial lymphatic drainage techniques is preferred

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a current North Carolina esthetics license

  • Has professional facial experience; previous hands-on experience is strongly preferred

  • Has a genuine passion for facial massage

  • Understands facial anatomy and the major muscles of the face

  • Understands the purpose behind the massage techniques they perform

  • Has knowledge of facial lymphatic drainage or is experienced in lymphatic techniques

  • Is confident with skin analysis and customizing a facial to the client's needs

  • Understands contraindications and knows when a treatment or technique should not be performed

  • Is confident with extractions

  • Maintains excellent sanitation and treatment-room standards

  • Provides a warm, relaxing, elevated client experience

  • Is dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently

  • Is willing to learn and follow Pausa's treatment protocols

  • Is comfortable recommending appropriate home care and rebooking clients

  • Is willing to learn Pausa's techniques

The Position

This esthetician will primarily perform general, customized, maintenance, and relaxation-focused facial services.

Pausa's owner specializes in acne and will primarily manage acne clients and acne treatment programs. This allows our new facialist to focus on providing exceptional relaxing facial experiences while referring clients who need more specialized acne care internally.

The position is approximately 3.5 days per week, including a required Saturday half shift. Exact weekday scheduling can be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation

Based on our current facial pricing and service times, earning potential is approximately $50–$60+ per booked service hour, before tips. Actual earnings will vary based on services performed, bookings, and schedule. You will keep 100% of your tips.

Our Ideal Candidate

We're not looking for someone who simply knows how to complete the steps of a facial. Pausa does not do "basic facials" we give a top tier experience.

We're looking for a facialist whose hands-on technique is one of their strengths someone who understands skin, loves massage, loves facial anatomy & muscles, pays attention to detail, and can give clients the kind of facial they immediately want to rebook.

A practical facial demonstration will be part of the interview process.
